Hottie of the Week: Goldie Foxx

Goldie FoxxBy Stranga The Great
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
There are reasons things come to be in life and it may take decades to figure out exactly why. Life is a journey and all types of people enter the various lives during these journeys, making for an interesting story. The people who choose to publicize their lives are known as entertainers.
Goldie Foxx has chosen this path for her life and, so far, things appear to be going well for her. A native of Detroit, the motor capital of the world, Goldie Foxx is making herself known worldwide. She has a distinct look that will not be forgotten once seen.
A busy woman who spends her time modeling, acting, and operating businesses, Goldie Foxx gave Hip Hop Vibe some time out of her schedule. In the interview, she talked to us about how she balances all the aspects of her life. Goldie Foxx also talked about her upcoming role in the Trick Baby movie.
Read the entire interview below:
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I say Goldie Foxx? The naked girl with the white hair (Laughs).
You’ve been only modeling a couple years. What has been the best part of modeling so far? Well, I love the freedom of being your own brand because people love you for who you are and your style.
What is life like for Goldie beyond the modeling? I am a mother to an 8 year old boy, so I spend as much time as I can with him kicking it with him and we are very close. I also write and I own a magazine for indie artist and am co owner and C.O.O of a network on Roku smart devices iPhone and Android, so I’m always working.
Tell us about your character in the movie Trick Baby. Trick Baby is an adaption of a 70′s book by David Groine, my character is the sister type that is looking out for her girls.
Has the crime and poverty in Detroit had any impact on you and your career?Crime and poverty? (Laughs) I don’t know what you mean. There is crime and poverty everywhere, babe, it’s just the media portrays Detroit as this petrifying place and really it is not. The only thing that can stop a person is themselves, so Detroit has nothing to do with anything because I am still progressing and doing me with my D hat on.
What is your affiliation with All Hip Hop? I am the Chief Operating Officer and co owner of All Hip Hop R&B and Urban Music Network on Roku (Google it), iPhone, and Android. We have the first issue of the magazine digitally and the network app on the Google play store. We put indie artist on a platform that provides for better means of exposure.
How do you feel about body enhancements like breast implants and booty shots? Well, if someone wants to enhance their features, as long as they don’t go overboard, I don’t think there is an issue of any sorts but that’s just my opinion.
What is the worst thing a man can do to turn you off? Be ignorant and thirsty, I like a grown man that’s doing his thing because you better believe I’m not missing any meals, so he has to be together. An ignorant thirsty bum gets no play!
What projects are you currently working on? I am working on the summer launch of the network, a few shows, and finishing up a few movies I was cast for and just growing more and more along the way.
Tell us how to find you on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Twitter is @goldiefox8869, Instagram is @goldiefoxx8869. Find me on Facebook at Goldie TheVixen Foxx, Linkedin is Goldie Foxx, and Google+ at Goldie Foxx.

Team Greatness releases Gas Masks & Teddy Bears

Finally after a long awaited hiatus Team Greatness releases Gas Masks & Teddy Bears from NC Underground artist Stranga The Great. After years of doing mixtapes with several DJ's and performing at different functions Greatness puts his latest project out on his website exclusively for the supporters to check out first. When asked what the concept behind the album was Stranga said, "This album represents the versatility that I stand for as an underground artist. The gas masks phase is to describe the gritty and aggressive nature of my flow but I'm not all grimey all the time so there comes the teddy bears to calm you down and keep things settle. I am multifaceted so I like to make songs that reflect who I am as a person. Most underground rappers don't make soft music because they think it will hurt their image and take away from the lyrical side of them. I can make mainstream music but it's not something I do on a regular basis but when I do I believe I can go with the best of them. I have my own style and I don't want to sound too much like anybody else so what I offer is a mixture of underground and mainstream." There are shades of red all over this album with tracks like "Bonkers" where Stranga can be heard screaming "The game needs cleansing, I'm the bleach in that water- with a flow that's doper than Alpo and Rich Porter". Things continue to escalate on the lead street single "Can You Feel It" which boast a soundtrack from producer KZR Beats and has Stranga spitting about the feeling you get when hip hop is at it's purest form. Not to be left out there is even a song for the ladies in the form of "Changing My Status" which is a break up song that will have people switching from in a relationship to single on their social network profiles. The song that envokes the most emotion on this album has to be "I'll Carry You" which features the soulful vocals of MarShell and more production from KZR Beats. I'll Carry You tells the stories of youth growing up and being struck with the worst of circumstances in life causing them to do drastic things to survive. All in all this is a pretty solid project and we are sure that Stranga The Great should be able to get his message across to his fanbase and see good success with Gas Masks & Teddy Bears.

Hottie of the Week: Ly’Nese Monet

Ly'NeseBy Stranga The Great
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Georgia gets a lot of credit for being the entertainment capital of the South and for the Georgia peach. This is both referencing the saying and the women who reside in the state of Georgia. What often goes overlooked is the territory just north of there, the Carolinas.
Charlotte is becoming a major entertainment hub and is the most-populated city in the South in terms of city limits. There are a lot of rising rappers, athletes, actors, and models coming up in Charlotte. Ly’Nese Monet is one person who is making her way in the game through modeling.
She took time out to talk to Hip Hop Vibe for this week’s edition of Hottie of the Week. As someone who is grinding and on the comeup, it is fitting for her to be from an area that is trying to do the same. Ly’Nese Monet has done a lot in a short period of time and she will definitely be live and in effect for the CIAA Weekend in Charlotte.
Read the entire interview below:
To those who don’t know who you are, can you tell us something interesting about Ly’Nese Monet? I’m a CNA and I work in home healthcare with children and adults with disabilities. I plan on staying in the health field but want to further my license. I am of course taking baby steps at this time because I’m also a single mother of two and pursuing my career as well as my dream in modeling, is hard work.
What would you say has been your biggest obstacle as far as modeling goes? I haven’t had anything too major yet, but I have a lot of people reaching out to me who are major and ready to work with me. I’ve only been doing this for a short amount of time and I have been in several magazines, two videos, and several up and coming events. I’m blessed because this is all by the strength of me and people believing in me. I’m my own manager and I’m blessed to have those already set up.
What is the most intriguing thing a man has ever done to impress you? The most a man has done for me to impress me is buy me a five karat ring with the five karat tennis bracelet to match with no strings attached. I also went on a couple free trips to New York during New Year’s and Key West in September. Hey, it pays to be pretty and I don’t turn down gifts (Winks).
Who do you feel is the sexiest model in the industry? To be honest, I love Keyshia Ka’oir.
What would be your dream modeling job? My dream modeling job is to model clothing lines for every high fashion boutique and to able to keep what I model in and host parties for Diddy.
What Carolina photographers have you worked with and how do you feel about the scene in the Carolinas? Todd Youngblood, Jerod Barbra, Corey Jones, Mel Tec, JK, Laurence T.Z and Snap Shot. I think Carolina is trying to get put on the map, but what I dislike is I got more love from outside cities then I did in my hometown, at first. Now that my name is buzzing and people are on it, but wonder why when we do start going to other cities and get the credit we deserve we don’t even acknowledge where we came from. North Carolina, especially Charlotte needs to do better.
What kind of success do you expect to see in the next couple of years? No matter what route I take, I’m going to be successful. When you think of an All-American, hard working woman and mother of two who is a go-getter, I hope you will think of me as well as see the tread I’m going to leave behind. I’m determined to make it and I will by the grace of God. This is what I want and my time is now, I have my kids as motivation and I will give them the life that they deserve.
Foot massage or back massage which one gets you going the most? I really enjoy and love to have both done. The foot opens up the brain cells and gets the blood flowing properly and the back is for relaxation and will put my ass to sleep (laughs).
Can you please tell us how we can check for you on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook? Instagram is LYNESE MONET and Twitter is Ly’Nese Monet’. If you want to check your girl out live and in person, then come celebrate with me for my birthday this Saturday. I will be at Club Vanity the old Fifth Element building. Also, I will be in Strip The Runway March 1st by Tutu Boutique hosted by PinkyXXX.
