Over the past few years, Rick Ross managed to step his game up going from being a regional star to the biggest figure in the game. Two years ago, Rick Ross officially took his position among the top of the game. Since then, adding Wale and Meek Mill to his team, the reaction to Rick Ross has not been the same.
God Forgives, I Don’t was initially due in 2011, but was delayed until 2012. When the album came, it was one of the biggest releases of the year. On the heels of the release of his new album, Rick Ross announced his work on a new album he would later reveal to be called Mastermind.
This year, Rick Ross did the latest Maybach Music compilation and boasted singles with such names as Lupe Fiasco and Jadakiss. He also had his own two singles, “Box Chevy” and “No Games.” All of this was not enough to stop the Mastermind delay that he discussed with Hip Hop Nation.
